Company History

Barnfield Engineering was established in 1986 by Stephen and Jacqueline Thorpe, Stephen leveraging his engineering background rooted in the food processing industry and Jacqueline taking on the Administration and Financial aspect from her work in Merchant Banking.

Situated in Newbury, Berkshire, the company embarked on a journey of providing specialised industrial installation and maintenance services to the water industries and building industries in both the United Kingdom and international markets on behalf of UK-based companies.

Notable Dates:
  • 1986, Barnfield Engineering was established.
  • 1998, Barnfield Engineering attained the prestigious BS EN ISO9001 from SGS.
  • 2000, Barnfield Engineering transitioned to a limited company.
  • 2006, Barnfield Engineering secured a coveted framework agreement from a major Water Authority.
  • 2021, Barnfield Engineering opens 2nd Branch in Hertfordshire.
  • 2021, Barnfield Engineering secured a coveted framework agreement from a 2nd major Water Authority.
  • 2022, Barnfield Engineering opens 3rd Branch in Wiltshire.
