Crane Technician / Crane Maintenance Service Engineer with experience servicing, maintaining and repairing cranes, hoists, lifting equipment and/or industrial machinery is required for a well-established and expanding engineering company based in Newbury, Berkshire, South East England.

JOB OVERVIEW

 We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a skilled and experienced Crane Technician / Crane Maintenance Service Engineer with experience servicing, maintaining and repairing cranes, hoists, lifting equipment and/or industrial machinery.

Working as a Crane Technician / Crane Maintenance Service Engineer you will provide expert maintenance, repair, and inspection services across the South East of England. 

This is a mobile / field-based role and joining the company as a Crane Technician / Crane Maintenance Service Engineer you will need to have a strong mechanical and/or electrical background in crane systems or heavy industrial equipment.

 


DUTIES

Your duties as a Crane Technician / Crane Maintenance Service Engineer will include:

 

Service, maintain, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment
 

Carry out routine inspections and LOLER examinations in accordance with regulations
 

Diagnose faults and perform on-site troubleshooting and repairs
 

Complete detailed service reports and customer documentation
 

Deliver excellent customer service on-site
 

Work independently or alongside a team depending on the project
 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

 

Essential:

Proven experience working with cranes, lifting equipment, or industrial machinery
 

Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
 

LOLER/PUWER knowledge and understanding of H&S regulations
 

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
 

Full UK driving licence (essential)
 

Flexibility to travel within the South East region and work occasional overtime
 

Desirable:

LEEA certification or similar lifting equipment training
 

Experience working in utilities, construction, or industrial sectors
